Antrim headquartered Decision Time has added 11 government departments to its growing list of public sector customers on the island of Ireland.
The company, which provides governance software for managing meetings, risks and objectives, has secured contracts with the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Department of Social Protection in the Republic of Ireland and the Northern Ireland Civil Service, which has nine government departments as well as other non-ministerial departments and agencies.
Indeed, Decision Time has won every public sector tender for board meeting software in Ireland for the past two years, meaning the company also now has over 80 Irish government bodies currently using its products.
Decision Time’s software makes it easier for organisations to practice good governance by running effective meetings, managing risk and monitoring their strategic performance. It enables CEOs, directors and leaders across any organisation to manage all of these essential requirements in one place.
In the last two years, the company has more than doubled its customer-base including continuing to win business from large global competitors. And its projections are for revenues to more than double from £2.4million per annum in 2020 to beyond £5m in 2023. Decision Time also recently announced highly regarded entrepreneur and business leader Patrick McAliskey as its new chairman.
Decision Time’s contract with the Northern Ireland Civil Service was secured via the UK government G-Cloud framework agreement, whilst the contracts with the two government departments in the Republic of Ireland were tendered for separately. Outside of Ireland, Decision Time’s customers include UK NHS Trusts, large universities, and over 60 housing associations in England, Scotland and Wales.
Geoff Higgins, CEO of Decision Time, said: “Regulated organisations are complex, and governing them from board level is challenging. Organisations also know that the impact of ineffective corporate governance can be severe, with potential financial, service, reputational, and particularly in the case of the public sector, societal implications. So, demand for our software has been very strong in the past few years, something that the pandemic has only served to intensify.”
“The public sector in the Republic of Ireland is one of our fastest growing markets at present which I think reflects well on its public bodies. Corporate governance in Ireland has clearly moved forward dramatically in the last decade or so and is now a very high priority, which means better decision-making, better management, and better outcomes for society. It’s also good news for Decision Time and means our software is likely to remain in strong demand,” he adds.
Founded by Northern Ireland entrepreneurs Geoff and Sinead Higgins, Decision Time is an award-winning provider of cloud-based software that makes it easier for organisations to practice good governance, risk management and strategic performance management.
It is headquartered at Kilbegs Business Park in Antrim and has a near 20-year pedigree of providing its products to leading public and private sector organisations across the UK and Ireland in sectors such as financial services, health, housing, local government, education and the wider public sector.
Decision Time’s user interface has been designed to allow clients to visualise and manage all aspects of their organisation’s governance, risk and strategic goals in one place. It enables clients to save time, focus on what’s important and not miss anything critical.
The company’s fast growth is backed up by market-leading customer retention, with 98% of customers retained year-on-year.
Decision Time is an Investors in People Gold company, coming in the Top 10 in the UK at the 2020 IIP National Awards. In 2020, the company’s co-founder and Business Director, Sinead Higgins was named IoD Director of the Year (SME).
